At Love From Cyprus, we believe wine is more than just a drink - it’s a story, a tradition, and a journey to the heart of Cyprus.
We’re proud to work with a select group of family-run vineyards across Cyprus. Each one shares our passion for quality and respect for tradition, producing wines that reflect the island’s character and heritage.
Together, we aim to bring the best of Cypriot winemaking to wine lovers and businesses in the UK.
The Story Behind Krasopoulin Winery
Nestled in the mountainous village of Xiliatos, Cyprus, this small family-owned winery honors generations of tradition while steadily growing its presence. Starting from a few cherished family vineyards, the winery is dedicated to cultivating the land with care to produce pure, authentic wines.
The vineyards themselves carry a rich heritage, passed down from the family’s great-great-grandparents. Located at an impressive altitude of approximately 1500 meters on Madari—the second highest peak in Cyprus—they are among the island’s highest vineyards, benefiting from unique climatic conditions that shape the character of their wines.
Focusing on the indigenous grape varieties Mavro and Xynisteri, the winery currently offers three wines: red, white, and rosé.
Their goal is to craft high-quality wines that reflect the family’s deep connection to their land and showcase the distinctive qualities of these rare Cypriot grapes, capturing the true spirit of the island in every bottle.
The Story Behind Constantinou Winery
Founded in 1992 by Costas Constantinou, a visionary from the village of Pera Pedi on the outskirts of Limassol, Cyprus, Constantinou Winery began its journey with handcrafted liqueurs. The first creation, Orali Orange Liqueur, made from ripe oranges, captured fresh aromas and vibrant flavors. Soon after, the Coffee Liqueur became a local and tourist favourite—and remains popular today.
Building on the success of “Orali,” Costas expanded into winemaking in 2000, crafting his first dry white wine, Ayioklima, in a small stone house in Pera Pedi. Those early years were a deep dive into the art and philosophy of winemaking, driven by experimentation and passion.
In 2009, as production grew, the winery moved to a modern 800 sqm facility featuring state-of-the-art equipment, a welcoming tasting room, and full-scale wine production. Today, Constantinou Winery cultivates 50 acres of vineyards and partners with over 30 local growers, producing up to 200,000 bottles annually across 8 distinct labels.
With a focus on continued growth and innovation, Constantinou Winery remains dedicated to crafting quality wines that reflect the spirit of Cyprus.
The Story Behind Oenou Yi Winery
Nestled in the heart of the Troodos Mountains, in the historic village of Omodos, Oenou Yi Winery carries forward the centuries-old tradition of Cypriot winemaking. Framed by the imposing peak of Olympos, the village’s lush vineyards thrive under the care of dedicated hands, producing wines that reflect the character and heritage of the land.
Founded in 2017, Oenou Yi Winery is committed to creating fine wines for both domestic and international audiences while serving as a cultural hub for the surrounding region. The estate stretches across vineyard-covered slopes, from Laona at 800 meters to Afamis at 1,060 meters, where the unique terroir and Mediterranean climate shape the distinctive flavors of its grapes.
The winery’s vineyards embody a deep respect for tradition: terraced slopes, carefully arranged to facilitate cultivation, are reinforced with local Omodos limestone to prevent soil erosion, while fragrant roses planted among the vines protect the crops naturally. Here, the relationship between people and land spans generations, turning the rugged mountainous terrain into a fertile, hospitable landscape.
The Story Behind Ktima Christoudia Winery
Nestled in the picturesque village of Kato Drys, Cyprus, Ktima Christoudia is a family-run winery that began in 1992 when Yiannis and Alexia Christoudia combined their love for wine with their marriage, cultivating their family vineyards.
Over the years, their passion and dedication led to the establishment of their first winery, KRELAN, in 1998, named after their children's initials. By 2011, the winery had grown significantly, producing around 40,000 liters, prompting the opening of the modern "Ktima Christoudia" winery in 2012, situated amidst the family vineyards in Kato Drys.
Today, the winery produces over 100,000 bottles annually, cultivating numerous Cypriot grape varieties to ensure the best quality of their wines. The winery's logo features a charming donkey, symbolizing the love, patience, and hard work infused into each bottle.
The Christoudia family's journey from humble beginnings to a renowned winery reflects their deep-rooted passion for Cypriot winemaking traditions and their commitment to producing exceptional wines that capture the essence of Cyprus.
